Companionship Services

Seniors First Home Care provides an array of supportive, companionship services to those in need. Our companion services can be utilized on a regular schedule, or as a respite for family members who need a break. We’re the perfect solution for anyone who wishes to remain in the comfort of his or her own home instead of moving to an assisted living facility.
As a companion, our caregivers can be there as a friend in social interactions, help maintain contact with family and friends, and provide general custodial care as needed. Our clients may need assistance with activities of daily living because of aging related issues, such as reduced eyesight, arthritis, limited mobility or dementia. Seniors First Home Care provides in-home care anywhere from two hours a day to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With our assistance, your parent can benefit from the appropriate level of in-home assistance and senior companionship, allowing him or her to age gracefully at home.
For more information or to schedule an in-home assessment, call 803-358-8315. Companionship services are available for a minimum of two hours at a time.
Companionship/sitter services include non-medical care, companionship, conversation, medication reminding, socialization and supervision. They may also include laundry, meal preparation and shopping, provided they are obtained as separate, distinct services. Light housekeeping duties, which are incidental to the well being and supervision of your loved one may also be performed.
The goal of companionship/sitter services is to assist individuals to live in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible and to assure the safety, health and general well being of the person by providing companionship, friendship and supervision, and by promoting social interaction. The friendly caregivers at Seniors First Home Care respect each person's rights, strengths, weaknesses, preferences, differences and values.
